Pointing and Laughing at The Dead
I'm torn about DL-Anon's savaging of the "open-board" over in MsAllegro's terrority.
On one hand, I know she's been a poison thorn, a bully and a wanking nutter in the fandom for a long time now and probably deserves all the scorn heaped on her and more.
On the other hand, there is the disturbing scent of kicking someone when they are down, way down, hanging in the air over that community of late. Maybe I'm wrong, maybe she's being bright and active and full of viperdom somewhere in the fandom (although I doubt that, as it would have been gleefully reported by DL-A and they've been scraping for crumbs now for months) but if all she's been doing lately is keeping her crap indoors on a kind of locked board with a few of her closest enemies (because those people certainly aren't her friends, nope) then ripping all that out in the open and going nuts over it as if it were fresh wankish activity reeks of childish vendetta more than exposing the truth about a bully.
And yeah, yeah, DL-A isn't about fandom protection, or being a shining example of moral behavior, it's there to point and laugh, but there hasn't been a lot of laughter generated either from this wank. There's been a kangaroo court atmosphere over there for the past few days, with this admittedly crazy, but basically inactive woman being drawn, quartered and hung several times over in every post.
Yeah, she's crazy. Yeah, she's a hypocrite. Yeah, she has no clue. Yeah, she's a homophobe/misogynist and creep of the highest sort.
But none of this is new. And few people are left who believe otherwise. There's no one left to convince of these facts, I fear.
And ... it's not really that funny anymore either.
Thus my disturbance at the stomping of what looks like her very inanimate corpse.

Everyone's looking bad from where I'm standing.
